How is God working in your life?

Posted by on May 19, 2010 in discipleship, personal | 1 comment

According to Scripture, God continually works in the lives of his children. So, a valid question to consider at all times is this: How is God working in your life?

To be honest, I don’t want to answer that question… which a good reason to ask it of myself.

You see, I’ve been very frustrated and discouraged about several things that are going on in my life. In other words, I have not been content with God through the circumstances and situations of my life recently. While it is always difficult to know exactly what God is doing in the midst of the situation, it seems that God is, at least, leading me more toward finding contentment in him.

I thank God that my wife and several friends are willing to talk with me and walk with me through this time.

But, what about you? How is God working in your life?

I read this post after your post for today (5/20), so its ironic that you ask! The Lord has been working with me on being able to share with others what he has deposited in me. I am very timid by nature, and never want to assume that I have anything that someone else needs, but the truth is we all need each other, and each one, no matter how young in Christ, has a piece to contribute. Unfortunately most of us haven’t grown up being encouraged in this manner, so unless one has a natural gift to do so, one may never come to the point of being comfortable sharing. This is where I am. I also find that he is challenging me more and more to apply Romans 5-8 to my life in very specific manners, specifically concerning the strength of my flesh in regards to what I eat and how much I sleep! Thank God for His grace!
