This is passage number 24 in “Scripture… As We Live It“:

There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need the apostles decided what to do with the money, primarily using it to support themselves and to provide a comfortable place for the believers to meet. (Acts 4:34-35 re-mix)

    Your version is to kind, I think. You should have said something like “some of those that were owners of lands or houses gave a small part of their wealth, but not to the extent that it affected or changed their properties, big houses and luxurious lifestyle”
