The Assembling of the Church

the weblog of Alan Knox
And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.
(Heb. 10:24-25 NASB)

Two Prayer Requests

September 16, 2008 By: Alan Knox Category: blog links

First, Joe, at “Hear God Speak – Bible Commentary“, has asked us to pray for a 3 yr old girl in his area who has cancerous tumors behind her eyes. (See his post “100th post – A Prayer Request“.) The little girl’s name is Karli, and she has a website that you can link to through Joe’s post. My heart goes out to Karli and her family, especially given my recent eye problems – where were nothing compared to what this girl is going through.

Second, my eye is healing very well – thank you for the prayer. I should be fitted with new contacts tomorrow. But, last night, I cut a 1 to 1 1/2 inch gash in my right hand between the thumb and index finger. I went to the ER and returned with a few stitches (I’m not sure how many – not many) and a bandaged right hand. I’m left-handed, so it is not affecting me much. But, I would appreciate prayer.
