All joking aside

I loved the “joke” that Jonathan from “Missio Dei” told in his post “Guy walks into a bar“. Jump to his blog and read the “joke”.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been frustrated with people who were comfortable arguing over the minutiae of theology, but did not live what they were arguing! Yes, by all means, let’s discuss Scripture and theology, but more than that, let’s live it! I would also suggest that if you are not willing to live something, then don’t argue for it. It just seems so hypocritical.

Hypocritical to argue theology you aren’t willing to live?

You are criticizing one of the greatest pastimes of religion through the ages.

Good for you. Keep it up.

The interesting thing is that those who want to spend time arguing these matters, never have original thoughts.

They argue about the propositions of others. Seems to me the same old issue Paul faced with the Corinthians (1 Cor.12:11-13)

I’d rather have the Water of Life any time!

Mind you Adam’s Ale is the best for physical thirst! It’s qualities are unarguable, no preservatives nor empty calories, and the credentials of its Manufacturer are impeccable!

I’m enjoying your “Modern Church Translations”. 🙂

    Aussie John,

Water of life… exactly. As long as we’re drinking it, right?

    Well, since you asked… 🙂
