The Assembling of the Church

the weblog of Alan Knox
And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.
(Heb. 10:24-25 NASB)

Welcome!

March 21, 2006 By: Alan Knox Category: personal

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope that your visit here will be both thought provoking and also edifying. My desire is to discuss many things related to the church (εκκλησία) of Jesus Christ.

Some information about myself: I am a believer and disciple of Jesus Christ. I have been married for 17 years to a wonderful lady – my high school sweetheart, even! We have two children. I am currently a student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. My plan is to continue my studies this fall in their Ph.D. program under David Alan Black. Eventually, I would like to teach. I am interested in biblical theology, especially ecclesiology (the study of the church).

I am one of the pastors (elders) of Messiah Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC. This has been a true blessing as I have seen God move among and mature a group of believers to impact their community.
